I couldn't agree with you more... despite all the headlines that come across the newspapers over the years, there is one thing that has unfortunately, always remained true - and that's the fact that women and girls are being raped, abused, and assaulted in this country and all over the world. In some places like the Congo, it's getting even worse and yet it's something we rarely hear about. As one of my side jobs, I work with V-Day (the organization helps to put on The Vagina Monologues in schools and cities all over the world) and their goal is simply and plainly "to end violence against women and girls". It's a cause I've been deeply involved with for a number of years and its something that is so important to me and I'm so happy you were "serious this time" and brought this up. Thank you -- and let's continue to work towards a violence-free future for women and girls everywhere. jacob

          4. bravo and thanks for being a compassionate male who cares about and actively works towards ending violence to women. it's unacceptable to me that girls everywhere should need to feel fear for their safety, a basic human right. don't want anyone to be in that situation, boys, girls, women, men. it's terrible all the world around, and you're right: it's mainly a silent terror.
